Project Overview
Now that we have a good understanding of the role of our national government, we need to better understand the three branches of government (executive, judicial, and legislative). To do this, you will be become an expert on one particular branch. Once you have developed a deep understanding of the branch assigned to you, you will then share your expertise with your group in order to help them learn the key information about your branch of government. It is up to you to determine how to present the information back to your group. Keep in mind that by the end of this, your whole group needs to understand all three branches of government.
Because we have a class of 24 students, there will be four groups of six. Those of you assigned to #1 will become experts on the executive branch, those assigned to #2 will become experts on the judicial branch, and those assigned to #3 will be assigned to the legislative branch.
You should be able to answer the following questions as an expert (but please do not limit yourself on your information gathering!):
When everyone in your group has presented back as experts to the group, visit the group project page for more information.
**Make sure you bring your headphones to class each day as many of the assignments include a listening portion.**

- How long are the terms?
- Do you have to have any specific qualifications?
- What are the specific duties and responsibilities of your branch?
- How is your branch organized?
- Who is the highest official of each branch?
When everyone in your group has presented back as experts to the group, visit the group project page for more information.
